SUMMARY:Woodspring Wings Model Aircraft Show
DESCRIPTION:The Woodspring Wings Model Aircraft Show has been a regular fixture on the flying calendar since shortly after the club began in 1989. It has since grown to be the biggest model aircraft show in the South West\, and attracts around 5000 visitors each year. Held over two days on the second weekend in September (11th and 12 for 2021)\, the show features all-day model flying displays by some of the country’s top pilots\, many traders and of course food and drink to suit all tastes. In recent years we have also enjoyed fly pasts by the BBMF Lancaster\, the Red Arrows and the BBMF Spitfire\, something we hope to continue every year. \nLocated near Yatton in the Somerset Levels\, Woodspring Wings is ideally placed to run a show of this size and popularity. The club owns a total of 21 acres of land including the flying field itself and adjacent fields meaning ample space for the event and plenty of parking on site. \nThe Woodspring Wings Model Aircraft show is a great day out for the whole family. Whether model enthusiasts or not\, there is something to entertain everyone. in recent years our “Battle of Woodspring” simulated air battle with full pyrotechnic effects has proved very popular. \nOn the show field there are many traders\, model and general\, plus displays of model boats\, cars and stands for several well known organisations including the RAFA\, Air Ambulance and the Bristol Aero Collection. \nSome great food and drink is available at the foodcourt\, operated by our partners Alfresco and the bar serves throughout the day with several great brews on tap.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrating 25 years! Prepare to be dazzled\, enthralled and mesmerised at this action packed show. There is plenty to keep the whole family entertained with model and full sized aircraft displays\, off road and circuit model car racing\, model boats and helicopters. As well as all the displays taking place\, there’s a whole host of stalls to see\, we have a huge trade line up\, including a craft fair and plenty of food and drink stalls to tempt you\, there’s a funfair to keep the children entertained and live music in the evenings. \nIf that’s not enough\, you can join in the fun after dark for our Firework and Aerial Pyro Spectacular on Saturday evening. DESCRIPTION:Scale models of iconic aircraft will be taking to the skies at the annual Large Model Air Show.  Taking place on the airfield at Cosford\, this famous air show in miniature is an absolute must for all.  See Britain’s V-Bombers flying together again with the models shown in this video. You can also see the full-size versions in the National Cold War Exhibition! \nVisitors will be able to see a whole range of models designed\, built and flown by members of the Large Model Association from biplanes to modern day jets.  From a distance in the skies\, the models truly look like the real thing! \nIn addition to the 50+ traders\, there will also be craft stalls\, food vendors\, a children’s small fun fair and new to Cosford the modellers swap meet.   Scale model aircraft will take to the skies on mass\, both days of the event.

DESCRIPTION:26th & 27th June 2021 we will see the 34th Wings & Wheels RC Model Spectacular at the historic North Weald Airfield\, Essex\, UK \n\n\n\n\nNorth Weald Airfield is a genuine WW1 airfield with many of its original buildings intact and it is at this wonderful venue that the Wings and Wheels Model Spectacular held it’s 33rd event in 2019.It’s hard to believe that one hundred years ago an airfield that was used by the Royal Flying Corps in 1916 provides the same venue for what is the longest running model show in the UK.  Those young WW1 pilots could never have imagined the changes that would take place in the world of aviation\, let alone the fact that one day it would be possible to fly a model aeroplane at speeds they could only dream of and all controlled by a man on the ground holding a radio control transmitter! \nSuch is progress! And that progress is more than represented in the range of models on display\, every era and type of model aircraft will be flown throughout the weekend from WW1 biplanes to the very latest fast jets. On the ground there will be every variation of radio control vehicles including trucks\, tanks and model boats being put through their paces. \nCouple this with a row of model Traders offering something to satisfy the most ardent of modellers\, along with a giant Bring and Buy\, there is more than ample opportunity to pick up a bargain!
